In 1996 I was a freshman in college. I was offered a student position in the Prof. Psych College, and then they took it away. I interviewed for another position in another office and I was still upset about the Prof. Psych position. The woman interviewing me told me "Well, it looks like you are and have everything we are looking for"
and I said, "So just hire me then"
She laughed and said she would have to call me after she meets with her superior. I got the job. And years later she told me that my straight up declaratin that she needed to hire me was what won me the job.
Tehehe, I was mortified I said that, but I guess it worked *wink*
