Around 6:00 this morning, I noticed in my dream a really, really horrible noise. It was a whiney, crying, whimpering sort of sound that spoke of pain and it wouldn't stop. I started drifting in and out of sleep, and no matter what, I could hear this sound. What was it? Where was it coming from?

I finally emerged from unconsciousness completely and noticed the constant, overwhelming, throbbing pain in my toe. Pain that echoed and reverberated through my entire foot and up my leg. That horrible, horrible sound was coming from me!

So I apologized to Jaime for waking him up and he was like, "It's ok, baby, I know you're in pain..." He went to get a vicodin and some cheese for me and I hobbled into the living room so I could elevate my foot on the couch. THe pain continued and continued until finally the vicodin kicked in and I drifted off.

I woke at 8:30, and my foot still hurts, but it's not the same kind of pain. It's the more bearable kind.

Stupid foot.

Also, why isn't there a screening of Serenity in Los Angeles? BAH!

ANd I have some Wes icons, if anybody would like a Wes Icon

There isn't one in NYC either, to my great dismay. Someone (or more probably several someones) dropped the ball.

Stupid foot. *glares at it for being so bad*

I'm so sorry you're in so much pain. I hope it gets better soon.

I'm going to take the first Wes icon - I *really* like it :)

Take care of yourself. ::hugs::

Thanks. The pain is better now...and I have tomorrow off, so I'll be OK.

And I'm glad you like the icon. :)

I hope your foot feels better.

Thank you so much for the scarf! It made me feel better. I did a Stevie Nicks dance in it.

I'm so proud of you and your award, although I'm not sure what you got it for, since Werner was mumbling.
Sorry I had to leave early; my hideous ed. professor (if I can call her that) wanted me back in class. Bitch.

You're welcome for the scarf. I was happy I could find something for you.

The award was just a merit award...

I see. They always do stuff a little ass-backwards and that's why I love them.

rock

Firefly trailer? Rocks like a rocking thing. And the link you have here actually played on my home computer (the one I tried before, in tania's LJ, didn't). It looks enough like Star Wars that I might even be able to drag desertstarlight to see it ... if it actually makes it to Victorville, that is.
P.S. Looks like we're going to see a lot of River.
P.P.S. From the total trivia file ... in Hebrew, "Tam" means "innocent" ;)
P.P.P.S. In the trailer toward the end, was that the cute mathematician from Numb3rs as a presumably bad guy? Numb3rs is the second-best new show on TV, right after Veronica Mars, IMHO.

Re: rock

so jealous. i have no internet at home, and the corporate server won't let me view the trailer.

what's the nifty little star for? curious, i've seen it a few times this week and have not a clue.

Re: rock

... um, assuming you're asking me about this ... the star represents what I suppose is my self-obsession. My LJ name means "star of the desert," and, before I had an LJ, and WAY before an exremely lovely and talented person made me my icon which visually demonstrates this, I used it to self-identify online ... and have just kept on doing so essentially out of habit.
