AMEN. I was watching the drech today. Altho I do want to see Lisa Ling's piece on male prisons-- I find the prison dynamic and soicetal rules REALLY interesting.
However, the housewives/mums, turn convitcs was total bullshit. I can't believe that these ppl were so shocked by their experiences...
And they also seemd to just MENTION, but not really address the problems IN jail as a breeding ground for more crime.
It was all "wow, it's racially segregated. wow, it's demeaning. wow, they all must feel alone. Wow, they're really violent. Wow, they're repeat offenders."
