Well, I suppose I have some responsibility as well.

Jaime's brother gave us $100 card to Best Buy, so we decided to go shopping today. Between the two of us, we grabbed Arrested Development, Simpsons S4, Mystery Science Theater Vol 6, and Home Movies S1. this is well over $100, but we want them all.

So then we notice that they are selling a laserjet printer for $150. We need one of those very, VERY much. I've had no printer for a year and it's a problem that needs to be fixed before I graduate.

Then we see a dishwasher. The small kind that sits on the counter. This is $160. We both hate washing dishes, so I can see making a $60 investment, if it means improving our lives.

So ultimately we put everything away and left without spending a penny. This is not our regular MO.

In other news, I decided I wanted to try to write a book for Harlequin--the Blaze imprint to be specific. So I decided to buy a handful at the used book store to do research. I'm watching A Midsummer Night's Dream right now on IFC to apologize to my brain. I should read it too to get my English major cred back. Either way, I think I could write this novel and I pretty much have an idea and I'm ready to go.

Why write specifically for Harlequin at all?

Because I'm feeling kinda worthless right now and I want to make some money. (Worthless in the sense that I'm not really bringing in an income anyway, and I really won't be after May. Though I am going to set an appointment at the Career Development Center and get my resume cleaned up.)

Jaime has flu like symptoms. Fortunately, I don't have school tomorrow, so I'll be able to take care of him if needs be.

One of the other agents I queried requested the first 50 pages. :) *crosses fingers*

Yeah, it's the greatest thing I've ever seen. It's really small, obviously, but it's adequate for one or two people. Let me see if I can find a link...

Ah, here it is

Wow, very interesting. If I didn't rent, I might consider it. (And had counter space . . .)

dishwasher?

I swear, between that and the washing machine that hooks up to the kitchen sink and releases water down the sink drain...apartments may actually be habitable!

Well, between that and 24 hr. maintenance.

4 words...Best Buy Credit Card....Oh, wait...I did that and it didn't make it easier...just made it easier to say yes. Oh well.

Good luck!

I hope Jaime feels better and you feel worthwhile.
When is the deadline to submit stuff to Prism. I'm forcing myself to write out my good idea but I need motivation.

Don't know, don't care. Maybe I'm turning into a horrible snob in my old age, but just thinking of having another piece of my work along side that...stuff...makes me shudder.

Also, this spring it's all online. You may find it by searching the ULV website...

I know, I know. I'm having issues with it. They keep printing stuff by the guy who writes about midgets.
I don't know where else to go to validate my existence I guess. Such a loser.

That's amazing! Good luck. I am in the middle of reading a ton of Blaze novels too...I'm not feeling too challenged by the smut *snerk*. But the hope is also to give writing one a bash. The idea is what is coming to me slowly.

getting published

Hi I don't know if you want this info but I thought you would like to try ebook publishers. They have some really good erotica ebook publishers out there.
