So I was going through my Romantics Anthology, trying to find something, ANYTHING,that would give me a fucking clue, when I come across Hymn before Sun-rise, in the Vale of Chamouni. Written in 1802. Do you know where the Vale of Chamouni is? According to my footnotes, it's in the same range as Mont Blanc. Yes, folks, Mont Blanc is primarily a response to Coleridges Hymn before Sun-rise, in the Vale of Chamouni and Wordsworth's Prelude and a few other Wordsworth poems.
Woohoo! I understand Mr. Coleridge. We get along smashingly. And now I have a wonderful comparison point and I'm going to get an A and graduate and we'll all cheer.
