Ugh

I spent so much money on planning my trip that I feel a little sick now. I tried to keep everything under control, but I hate spending money. I really do. Of course, I still have plenty for the trip and all my bases are covered and I can still pay my bills and Jaime won't starve, but I still feel awful and guilty.

I'm going to try to finish Chapter 18 of Be Thou My God this week. That means I can post a chapter Mon, Tues, Weds, and before I walk out the door on Thurs. It's possible that I can finish another chapter or two and double up postings on some days, but I'm not really counting on that. On the one hand, I feel bad for not finishing it like I wanted. On the other hand, I have planned out a total of 25 chapters and about 60,000 words, and though I can't finish it before I go, I should be able to finish it without problem when I get back. I feel really, really bad because this is somebody's (Hey, person-who-requested-this, are you reading it? Do you have an LJ? Can you post a response or email me or something and let me know?) auction story and I never meant to take so long to finish it.

But, well, doing 11 chapters and 25,000 words in about a week isn't bad progress, yeah?

I bought a new (used) game today, Lupin the III. It could be really fun or really sucktastic. I'm going to go play that while my super-anal husband starts packing my stuff.

No, I haven't been reading it. I have scarcely had time to scan my f-list, but I have been gleefully noting the chapters piling up and I appreciate your efforts to finish the story before your trip. I'd like to start the story from the beginning, because I've forgotten so much during the hiatus. Hopefully I can find a small chunk of time sometime soon to catch up. Be sure, when I do, you will hear from me.
