Yeah, I got the DVDs for Christmas. Yes, I just watched the concert last night. No real reason, I just never get around to watching my DVDs.

It was very, very good. I was positively blown away. Of course, what else would you expect when several of the generations best musicians get on stage to play their best friend's music? I mean, would you expect anything less than perfection from Clapton, Jeff Lynn, Tom Petty, Paul McCartney, Joe Brown, Billy Preston, Ringo Starr, Klaus Vorman, Gary Booker, and a few other people I didn't recognize? And George's son Dhani looks just like him. Paul made the comment that with Dhani on stage, it looks like George stayed young and the rest of them got old.

Just. Like. Him.

And he was holding his own up there. I was thinking what it must feel like to be playing on stage with Clapton et. al. and then it occurred to me, we see Eric Clapton, he sees his dad's best friend.

Anyway, the concert was beautiful and amazing. I strong recommend it to anybody who is a Beatles fan, or a George fan, or a music fan in general.

After the Concert fo George, I put in the Anthology 5 and 6 DVDs. Which maybe wasn't the best idea...but I was in the mood, and those are my favorite chapters...I love the years spanning Rubber Soul to Sgt. Pepper's... Though it made me sad because George had the best sense of humor. he had me chuckling through my tears.

While I was watching the video they made for Day Tripper, I was thinking "Paul and John are standing awfully close to each other...they're awfully sexy when they're that close..." and then my brain went to scary, bad places. I blame Livejournal in general and fandom in particular.

I might possibly be on crack, but I read your subject and thought you were having a concert for your new laptop. Is that odd?
