That's the writer's block question today. And since I'm feeling particularly sappy, and I'm trying to procrastinate writing a film theory paper, I thought I'd take the time to answer the question.
The who (no, not the band. I mean, the people I really love):
slacker_97 because he's always mine, every day.
gigglestheblood because she's practically me, and I love me!
agnespennyworth because she misses Rome, too, and I can count on her to understand.
eurydice72 because she's the other half of my brain (the smart, talented half) and because she tolerates all my crap, and also, I'm not sure what I would do without her.
The what:
Sonnet XI by Pablo Neruda
2. Wilco. They always make me happy. I just couldn't adore a band more, unless that band was...
3. The Beatles. My first love in everything.
4. My books. I love my books. I love what I do. They're great books, in my humble opinion.

The what:
Sonnet XI by Pablo Neruda
I crave your mouth, your voice, your hair.
Silent and starving, I prowl through the streets.
Bread does not nourish me, dawn disrupts me, all day
I hunt for the liquid measure of your steps.
I hunger for your sleek laugh,
your hands the color of a savage harvest,
hunger for the pale stones of your fingernails,
I want to eat your skin like a whole almond.
I want to eat the sunbeam flaring in your lovely body,
the sovereign nose of your arrogant face,
I want to eat the fleeting shade of your lashes,
and I pace around hungry, sniffing the twilight,
hunting for you, for your hot heart,
like a puma in the barrens of Quitratue.
