Watching the Ellen Show

I like it a lot. She's fun and it's fun and well, there's fun to be had by all. But I'm also scared. Remember how much fun the Rosie show used to be when it started? And remember how much it sucked by the time it was over?
What if Ellen starts to suck!?

I think Rosie was dependent too much on gimicks and became kinda issue-driven towards the end. Also, Rosie herself was losing interest in the show and that probably came off as well. While, the way i feel with Ellen, is that she kinda IS the gimick. She's got this dry sense of humor that really holds the show and attracts guests. Hopefully, she will not try to overwhelm the show as Rosie did, and just keep it as fresh, easygoing and fun as it is now.

i so agree with you. i think ellen is too laid back to try to rely on the gimmicks that rosie did. by the end of rosie's show it was just painfull.
