Thanks to the people who commented on my previous post. The interview with the school was a complete bust--he realized as I arrived that I didn't have certification, and so he wasn't interested in interviewing me. That sucked. But I did have an interview today with overstock.com as a copywriter--that is, writing descriptions of their endless products. It pays $12/hour, and I could get a 7-3 shift, which would be a killer on the one hand, but convenient on the other hand. I really liked the guy who interviewed me, and I think he liked me.

Anyway, I tried to sell myself and talk myself up. I don't know yet if it worked. He said he had about 30 people to interview, and that he'd call back 5 people for a second round of interviews. He also said he would contact me either tonight or tomorrow and let me know either way.

I also found out today that I haven't received my diploma yet because the Registrar's office thinks I haven't fulfilled all my requirements. But I got that straightened out, so it's no big.

Did I ever mention that I got a new laptop? I did. It's an HP Pavilion. 60 gigs, 3 gigs of memory. It's very pretty. I love it a lot. I feel guilty for buying it now because of the money situation, but the fact is, I needed it. And if I could get this job, then it'll make up for it!
