The Blaze contest announcement has been officially pushed back to Oct 31! They claimed it was due to the number of entries, 285 in all. Quite frankly, I like those odds. I know a lot of people entered up to 5 manuscripts, and about two-thirds of all slush piles is unreadable crap. I figure I'm really up against about 100 entries, total.
