I went to the dentist yesterday morning with ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
gigglestheblood and agnespennyworth in tow for moral support. I hadn't been to the dentist in probably five years, and well, it was beginning to show. I was certain he'd be mean and chastise me, but he wasn't that way at all. He was very concerned about my comfort, and always stopped when it got to be too much. I'm not sure if the news was better or worse than I expected. He said that my gums are very enflamed because of all the plaque and build-up. I need to get that taken care of before he can do anything else--which includes removing and replacing two feelings that are currently decaying or something. That's what is causing me such extreme sensitivity to cold (I can't even eat salads any more, the cold vegetables are too much). So I bought a new toothbrush, and a I bought a Waterpik to use instead of floss, and I bought some Listerine. The Waterpik makes my gums bleed a lot. But hopefully that'll go away after awhile.
I got a release date for Falling in Controlled Circumstances--November 4! So that's cool.
I also have a new short-term job. I'm going to transcribe footage/interviews/b role for a documentary called Sons of Perdition, which is just starting the editing process, and the editor wants all that information in a script. I was told they have over 100 hours of footage, and they're paying 50 cents/audio minute. There's been a few minor kinks, not the least of which is he's on a mac and I'm on a PC and his files are HUGE. 3-5 gigs per file. But we're getting that sorted. So I won't be raking in the dough, but it'll keep my days occupied and I'll know I'll have money coming in this month. Plus, the movie is about all the young men who are kicked out of the Polygamist compounds at places like Colorado City, which was already a topic I found pretty interesting.
I can't believe it's already almost 5:00! Ack! Well, I've got some edits to work on and a short story I want to write, plus we're going to watch 1776. You can't stop us, man. We're party animals!
