I called the local Sylvan center and scheduled an appointment for an interview. It's Thursday at 2 pm. I'm excited and hopeful. I really need to get a summer job, and honestly, this one would be perfect. It would leave me plenty of time to write--and honestly, I'll need it. Right now I'm working on California Stars, a sequel to New Frontier, finishing and revising Be Thou My God, another novel that I have a plot but no title, expanding Copper and Cherries, revising Mad Brilliant, and finishing a handful of short stories I started but never got around to....
Where was I?
Oh yes, so I need a part time job that'll give me a decent pay (a friend tells me they start at $9), won't get in the way of the writing, and will keep up afloat over the summer. We won't be living the good life or anything, but we won't be bouncing the rent check either. I figure I'll start subbing in September--not an ideal job, but decent pay and pretty good hours.
