Today I woke up at 6:30, dragged my ass out of bed, drove all the way to Granada Hills, and waited outside of the locked and silent house for an hour before I remembered Oh my god, they went to New York this weekend! So I decided to go home, and then halfway home I felt guilty because I left at 9:45...what if somebody who has a key to their house was coming to work at 10:00? And they're like "Dude, where's Haley?" And then they're like, "Well this will never do. She's fired." Then I'll be sad. But on the other hand nobody was there!

Well whatever. I have an online tutoring appointment today anyway, plus lots of writing to do. I'm not upset I drove all the way just to turn around and drive back, but I am worried that I made an ass out of myself.

Oh, so I heard today that on the 5 freeway, three truck drives jack-knifed their trucks across the 5, blocking all the lanes, jumped out, and then made their escape in cars. Traffic was FUCKED UP! I wasn't affected because I wasn't on the 5 when it happened, but the freeway I was on connects to the 5, and there were cars stretched clear down the 118, waiting to merge onto the freeway. They're probably still there. The truck drivers were caught on a side street and arrested, btw. On the 101, there was a convoy of truck stretched out across the lanes and driving very, very</I. slowly. As near as anybody could tell, they were protesting the high price of gasoline. I'm sure all the people who were forced to burn gas waiting for traffic to clear while making them late and losing hours (and money) really supported the protest...
In time to catch the end of a Star Trek (OS) episode. And do you know who's hot? Ripped-Shirt!Kirk.

There, I admitted it.
I debated over whether or not I should post anything of my own, but hey, why not? Here are a few poems I wrote about my memories of Utah.

And a poem not by me...if you remember Mr. William, this poem is featured more than once. I think it's one of my all time favorite poems.
