There is a satelite campus of ULV in Athens Greece. Every summer, they do a 4 week term where students on the central campus and other satelite campuses can come and take 6 units. This is what the website says.
As part of the five-week Study Abroad Summer Program, students have the opportunity to enroll in classes in Greek culture and language, as well as any of the University's regularly scheduled courses. A series of field trips are included as an integral part of the program

Summer students normally register for a maximum of 6 credits consisting of two 3-credit courses.

This is how much the program costs. Comprehensive Fee: $ 2,350

Program cost includes:

Tuition for up to 6 semester hours (two courses)
All academic fees
Transportation to and from the airport
Accomodation
All field trips

I have enough financial aid to afford this. I'd arrive June 26 and leave July 30. You'll note that I'll miss Writercon...except, I might be able to arrange it so I can leave Athens early (take my finals early in the week) and be home in time to go to Vegas and then to Utah to see my family.

The really great thing is that they're offering a class that I need, but I swear to god, is never offered here. So I could go to Greece with money I already have, spend a month there, take a class I need to graduate, go on planned field trips to Ancient Agora, Acropolis and Plaka, Paros, Aegina, and Cycladic, Benaki, Acropolis and Byzantine Museums . I can take a class called The Greek Island Experience. "Students will visit the charming and beautiful island of Hydra and experience and study its History and Art. (1 credit)".

If I left for that long, I'd obviously miss [livejournal.com profile] slacker_97 terribly. But I'll obviously have Internet access. I really think I should go over to the Study Abroad office and find out what I need to do to make this happen.
Living on the west coast. By the time I get home from school, everybody I chat with has gone to bed. *sigh* And I have a plot bunny I want to talk about right this second. bah. Why doesn't the world revolve around me, like it should?

ETA: "plut" wasn't a typo....it's "plot" plus "smut". True story...
