Ha! I stuck with the plan!

I got all my Horror Novel hw done this morning. Wooo!!!! I actually did it in the library so I could concentrate, and what do you know? It worked.

In other news, slacker_97 bought me King's new book, Dark Tower V: Wolves of Calla. That's why I love him so very much. He buys me each new King book, without fail, the week it comes out. I don't even have to worry about it...I know I'll come home and find my brand new hard back copy.

I don't know when I'll have time to read it though! I have an essay on poetry due on Tuesday which I need to start tomorrow, and I've got to write an essay for my other class, andoh yeah, an essay for my other class. *sigh* If I work really, really hard tomorrow, Friday, and Saturday, perhaps I can spend all day Sunday reading it.

Oh I Forgot

They are showing new episodes of Good Eats on The Food Network.

Alton Brown is the most fuckable person on the entire network. Also, I would give anything to see him on Iron Chef. I suspect he would fucking kiss ass because he's the greatest eva.

Anybody else feeling the Alton Brown love?

I really need a new bed and a new fridge

Beds and fridges are expensive though. I just got my financial aid check. it was 4100. I'm going to pay off one CC (which was 2200) and that leaves me 2000 for my bed and my fridge. Although,I'm beginning to believe I won't be able to afford both. But I need both. The bed is full of holes, we're getting jammed with springs, and in some cases, scratched. Of course it dips in the middle, which isn't very comfortable. There's just no way around the fact that we need a new mattress. I guess we don't need a whole bed set (as nice as that would be) I would just like a queen (or maybe a King *sigh* how lovely) size mattress that doesn't make me ache in one way or the other.

We need a fridge. Our food is still going bad. Our frozen goods aren't frozen. Our ice cream has been thawed and refrozen several times. It's a bad, horrible fridge and i'm tired of buying meat that goes bad in less than a week, regardless of where we put it (fridge or freezer). But like mattresses, fridges are very expensive.

I don't know what to do or even where to look. Ideally we would get both for Christmas. But if not, I guess I have to decide which one is more crucial.
