So, I haven't updated in awhile. Tha makes sense because my life really is dull. I'm going to try to get one of my stories published. This weekend I'm finding publishers and emailing/mailing my story out. I'm kinda nervous about it, but honestly, I have no expectations of success. But a lot of people have told me that I really should try with this story, so I'm going to do it.
I guess it makes sense. I mean, I always say I want to be a writer, and I write a lot, but I've never actually taken the next step to get published. I guess because I'm discouraged by all the stories from people who are really good who rejected. Or maybe I'm discouraged because I've read some books that are really crappy, and yet got published.
My creative writing class is over. That was the fastest moving class I've ever been in. Feb 3 is when the real fun begins. I have American Lit 3, Honors Seminar: Decolonizing Africa, Values and Critical Thinking, Intro to Peace Studies, and American Gov and Politics. Fun fun. I complain a lot, but honestly, I'm looking forward to the challenge.
In other news, I think I'm lactose intolerant! Yay! My favorite food is dairy products. That's why it took me so long to figure out the problem. But about a month ago, I went over a week without eating any dairy, and all of a sudden, I wasn't sick anymore! Stupid lactase.
I have a doctor's appointment next week, but it's not for my stomach. I have to see the OB/GYN because my birth control perscription just ran out. Stupid OB/GYN. =( I hate OB/GYNs. But I got to stay healthy. (ha ha).
