Ok, everybody is very sad about the death of Elliot Smith. I didn't recognize the name or any of the music. Then I found out that he did the cover of Because for American Beauty, and that has the distinction of being the only cover of any Beatles song that doesn't make homicidal. In fact, I like it.
So now I'm sad too.
I'm having a surprising amount of difficulty finding material for my research paper. It's on "Young Goodman Brown" for Christ's sake, there should be about 2 trillion essays on the word "Faith" alone, so why can't I find any of it?! Stupid thing. *kicks Hawthorne*.
In other news, I'm very, very excited. Because I'm working again, I was able to pay off the bills with my paycheck. I can pay off the next batch of bills with my check. That means we have Jaime's entire paycheck left in the account.
Which means....I can buy food again.
Real food.
And enough to last more than just a few days.
My head is positively spinning with the possibilities. It's been so long since we could afford to grocery shop, I mean, really, really grocery shop. Jaime says we can go to Costco--he's got several friends with memberships there who will be more than happy to help us. he's going to clean out the fridge and the freezer tonight. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmfoodmmmmmmmmmmmmm
