On #1: Good for you! It's an excellent story, with depth and interest. It'll shape up as a fine piece of fiction--beyond that which it already is.
On #2: Thank god. In that you see the light at the end of the tunnel. Also? YOU are the author. You do what you see fit, and as the reader, I will trust you.
On #3: Religion is indeed a touchy subject, but there's just something about a handsome priest (which of course Spike would be) that sends all those taboo sexual-senses a-tingle.
If you really want to be safe, set up your own YahooGroup so you can be fairly sure of avoiding inflamitory statements, or just below the belt angry remarks.
As far as the Utah story goes. I'm afraid I don't know that I can go with you for that one. I grew up there. And was not a Mormon. Dredges up too many bad memories for me. You're a brave girl for facing them yourself. Good on you.
