Something that I've noticed with the especially flaming reviews on several journals is that they are from anonymous posters, which are either non LJers or LJers who are too cowardly to post with an identity. So, in that respect, maybe when you post,you could only allow LJ comments and not allow anonymous comments. There is a way to do so.
It is unfortunate that people think that just b/c your journal is public, anyone's journal is public, that they can attack you without recognizing that this is a *journal* and really, they should scroll past nad not hop on their soapboxes. We should not have to censor ourselves. And i would hope that you don't have to either, whether in your writing or simply journal entries.
