First I went to work for a few hours. Work consisted of two workshop things where I had to stand up and say "I really like online tutoring! WOO!!!" And I got paid for that, so good on me.
ThenI drove to Pasadena, and as always, I got lost. But only for a little while. Then we found the library with time to spare. The workshop was small and nice. The people were really kind and welcoming. We started by writing a poem, then reading them aloud if we wanted, and then critiquing some poems people brought it. All very friendly and laid back. I hadn't planned on going next week, but I think I will. Jaime felt a bit out of place because it's a poetry workshop, and my boy doesn't write poetry. I promised him though if he wanted to learn how I'd show him. Which makes it sound like I know how to write poetry...
Still sad about the concert. It was cancelled because Paul was sick. I guess if he has a sore throat, he can't sing, and as much as I like Garfunkle...well, that wouldn't be much of a concert...
So after dinner tonight we went out for coffee where Jaime proceeded to tell me all about this idea he had for a play, based on the poem I wrote at the workshop. It's good. I'm going to make him write it.
So that's my Saturday. Since I've been so lazy the past few days, I'm going to have to buckle down hard tomorrow and write some essays. Woo.
