I haven't been updating lately, as some of you may or may not have noticed. It's not because I've been cheating. I haven't been. This week, since returning from Vegas, I've been on the straight and narrow. But in the interest of full disclosure, I will list all of the food I've eaten that was not on the plan.

1. Hamburger with a side of fries, and a piece of cheesecake for dessert. I did not finish the cheesecake. That was on Saturday night.

2. Cheese dip with sourdough bread and a serving of shepherd's pie for dinner on Sunday night.

3. A McDonald's cheeseburger and small fries on Monday for lunch. We went through the drive-thru so we wouldn't lose time on the road.

Honestly, given all of the things I could have eaten over the weekend, I think that's a pretty damned short list. Since I've been home, it's all been meat, and salads, and my protein shakes. That's not to say it's been easy. I think we're all getting a little frustrated with the monotony. [ profile] slacker_97 has taken the time to craft a menu that tries to shake things up a little bit. The ironic thing, to me, is that when we weren't on the diet, we still basically ate the same handful of things over and over.

[ profile] gigglestheblood can fit in a skirt that didn't fit her before, so she's definitely making progress. I don't feel like I am. It was horrible in Vegas because there was a huge mirror in my bedroom, so I had to see myself every single day. Instead of feeling motivated to change things, I just felt very, very discouraged. I feel better now, slightly.
