A week without ice cream. A week without chocolate. A week without chips. A week without cereal. A week without milk. A week without pasta. A week without rice. A week without tortillas. A week without sandwiches. A week without soup. And a week with only 1.5 cookies.

I think I'm doing pretty good! I know I gotta take this one day at a time, because otherwise I think about the fact that this is going to be a long, long road to travel. I might have lost some weight in the past week, but it's like taking a thimble out of the ocean. Still, it should be fairly easy to stick to the plan this week. I've got a few things I can make for breakfast besides eggs--namely a soy protein shake or warmed up ricotta cheese (tastes better than it sounds!). I've also got some new snack food--salmon dip and spinach dip. Plus I'm going to make some no-noodle lasagna this week that's actually pretty good. I also bought some different kinds of flour, and I'm going to make bread this week, as well as muffins.

Yesterday, I didn't have breakfast (I know that's bad), I had a chicken caesar salad for lunch, and chicken for dinner. My favorite thing in the world is a texano burrito, which has chicken, potatoes, sour cream, and chicken all mixed together in a fresh tortilla *drool*. I love those things. I can eat three big ones in a sitting (not necessarily something to be proud about). Well, I asked Jaime to make it without the potatoes or the tortilla. So it was chicken, sour cream, cheese, and salsa. And it was very satisfying! It took care of the urge anyway, and it was better than just a piece of plain chicken. For dessert, I had the standard cool whip and two gingersnaps.
